Hedlund
Horn was our first speaker in commercial production. Thanks
to Jan Hedlund, the constructor from Sweden who designed
it, we got permission to build it for the market. But we didn't just
do it in it's original DIY form, we've added every possible improvement,
resulting in a product of wonderful appearance and spectacular sound.
We
make Hedlunds by bending sheets of wood veneer and
MDF, gluing them together in the process, the result being
precisely curved plywood of 26mm thickness. 28mm veneered MDF is used
for sidewalls and solid wood for foot, side supports and the front panel.
Read more about this in the 'Specifics' pages.
Since
1999, when we started production, they have been exported to almost
every corner of the world, from Canada and the US to the Far East. Most
of them ended up in Europe of course, since transportation and handling
makes up a significant part of the total cost. See the measurements
below..
As
an official Lowther OEM we are now able to supply preferred
Lowther drivers and can offer completed speakers at very competitive
prices.
